I was in the Newport Beach area for work and was looking for someone close by to do my braids when I stumbled upon Carmen. And let me just say I’m glad I did! Carmen is such a warm and welcoming person. She got me scheduled right away, and did my braids exactly how I wanted. Then about a week later I wanted to try another style, so I got in touch with Carmen again and she again got me scheduled right away and my hair came out so good! I got so many compliments from so many people about how good my braids looked! Also her prices are very fair for the beautiful work she does. I honestly could not recommend Carmen more. She is kind, professional, and just great at what she does! Cant wait for my next trip to CA so I can schedule an appointment!

Carmen braided my hair in December 2022 and she did a fabulous job. She is very kind and we had fantastic conversation while I sat in her chair. She was also a lovely host; tea offered, played music, and created an overall comfortable experience. Highly recommend Carmen for hair services!

There is no one like Carmen! She is amazing, professional, prompt, and reasonable. Very comfortable space to get your hair done + all the streaming you can dream of! Customer care and satisfaction are her top priority and it shows. You will not be disappointed in any style you do with Carmen. If I could give more than 5 stars I would!

I had such an amazing experience with Carmen. Before arriving she asked me what additional comfort services I would like. I chose the back massager. Upon arrival I was greeted with a mocktail topped with a cherry. She placed the back massager with heat on me as I sat for my service. Carmen is so gentle yet her braiding styles always last. I enjoy conversation with her every time and I always look forward to our next appointment. I highly recommend Carmen, she provides an amazing pampering experience and service.

Carmen is totally awesome! She is very professional, and has a warm and welcoming Spirit. I brought my daughter to get her hair braided because she had suffered hair damage due to heat and a texturizer. Carmen gave us a sense of peace and hope that everything would work out for the good. Carmen was highly recommended to us, and after seeing my daughter's braids, I was amazed and so thankful and grateful! I highly recommend Carmen! ?

We were connected to Carmen through another salon that suggested her for braid removal from my daughter’s hair. BEST referral EVER! My daughter has a very tender scalp and typically has tears throughout braiding and removal... not one tear was shed with Carmen! We went back the following week to get braids put back in and again... no tears. Carmen is gentle, kind, professional and an expert all around. We were given maintenance tips for braids (something I’ve never received from other salons) and my daughter LOVES the look! We have definitely found a keeper in Carmen!

Overall Carmen really makes you feel comfortable and cared about! She even has access to streaming services, so if you ever need to catch up on shows you can do it while getting your hair done! It really feels like a second home and she is a great people-person overall! She will always be the one stylist I go to in OC to get my hair done.
